Genetic engineering of foods is one of the most controversial subjects of the last two decades. Since humans first domesticated crops and animals, people have bred different breeds and species together, to obtain better plants and animals.
Since the 1980's, biologists have been able to create species that could not normally breed. Researchers are able to take genetic information from one living organism, and place it into a wholly-different species.
